ACM-W

ACM-W is the site for the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) committee on women in computing. It celebrates, informs and supports women in computing, and works with the ACM-W community of computer scientists, educators, employers and policy makers to improve working and learning environments for women.

Women are IT (WIT)

“Women are I.T.” is an organisation providing a framework upon which women in Information Technology can extend their network and expand their knowledge in an environment that encourages open conversation and debate. We want to encourage women to choose I.T. as a career and raise the status of women in Australian business, in the I.T. industry in particular. Our mission statement outlines our aims, meetings, organisers and future plans.

Females In Information Technology (FITT)

FITT is a Special Interest Group (SIG) of the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) and is also sponsored by Telstra. FITT is led by a voluntary Steering Committee of 16 women. FITT’s objectives are to:

  • Encourage more women into the ICT industry
  • Inspire women in the industry to achieve their personal aspirations and potential
  • Assist women to broaden their understanding of the ICT industry
  • Facilitate networking opportunities

The Australian Computer Society (ACS) is the recognised association for Information & Communications Technology (ICT) professionals, attracting a large and active membership from all levels of the ICT industry. A member of the Australian Council of Professions.

AIIA is the peak body in Australia for the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry, AIIA works across many areas to assist the ICT industry to meet its business objectives in corporate and government markets.

Project Management Institute – Melbourne Chapter

The Melbourne Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI) is part of an international not-for-profit professional organisation dedicated to the advancement of project management excellence through professionalism.
