The Role

The Principle Technologist is a critical technology and architecture role within Group IT. This role is responsible for driving a multi-dimensional strategy for Data and Integration technologies deployed in Toll’s domain. As the Principal Technologist, you will set the direction for these services, ensuring they meet the needs of the business now and into the future.

To be successful as Principle Technologist, you will need to:

Lead the development and implementation of a cohesive Data and Integration strategy and architecture to support Toll Group’s business and IT goals, ensuring seamless data exchanges, cost reduction, and improved supply chain visibility.
Simplify and standardise Toll’s Data and Integration architecture, develop comprehensive and domain-specific data models, establish integration standards, create reusable integration services, support software adoption, collaborate with IT teams, mentor talent, and evaluate emerging technologies for enterprise use.
Manage technology initiatives, support business case preparation, serve as a technology SME, represent Toll in executive conversations, collaborate with IT and innovation teams, prepare technical documentation, and engage with technology partners to recommend new solutions.
Participate in the Architecture & Security Review Board to ensure alignment with enterprise standards, engage with IT leadership and business leaders to promote awareness of Toll’s technology architecture, and contribute to developing high-performance architects and architecture practices within Toll.

About You

Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
Proven track record in leading, running and setting the vision and technology architecture for Data and Integration. With a strong emphasis on data architecture and data modelling.
Ability to develop and implement IT architecture blueprints and associated investment plans/roadmaps.
Excellent skills in presenting technology strategies to diverse stakeholders.
